Boo, I hate a tight budget. It never seems to fail that all the expensive things happen all at the same time.
Also, I bit the bullet and joined an online dating site last month, dun dun dun. I never thought I'd actually do that, buuuut enough of my friends and family kept nagging me that I finally decided to do it. I will say it's a little overwhelming. You get so many messages that it's hard to kind of sift through and focus your attention. I'll never understand how people successfully date multiple people at a time -- it's distracting!
Anyway, I'll give an update about that when there's "something" to update ;)
Warm weather needs to hurry the eff up and get here already. It's still be in the 60's. I NEED 80's! I can't wait to visit home at the end of the month where it's warm. Mmm...BBQ, hush puppies, and SHRIMP!
Whew! All moved in to the new house! I've been packing/unpacking for a week now, and am frankly exhausted. The house is mostly done -- still a few odds and ends that need to be put away. I'm surprised how many people commented on the amount of space I have in the new place --asking if this is, "all for me." Uhh, yes. Though I jokingly tell them it's more for the dog than me ;)
It's only 10:30 AM, and I'm already ready for a nap, LOL.
It'll be my quarter century birthday on Tuesday. It makes me feel both old and young at the same time.
Ooooomg I officially hate house hunting (renting, not buying). I used to love it as a kid when we had my dad's budget -- that was like being a kid in the candy store, LOL.
My budget in Chicago...Loooooord JESUS. By the end of tomorrow, I will have looked at 16 houses in a week. Fingers crossed I find "the one" tomorrow, make an offer, AND ACTUALLY GET IT. Seriously -- I lost all 3 of my picks this week, and am literally starting at ground zero.
Did I mention I have to be out of my apartment in a month? No pressure. Ahahaha.
I stupidly tried to compare my budget to NC, and immediately regretted that decision. The difference in the cost of living is mind blowing. My budget down there would get me a 3 story townhome with 2,000 sq ft. Now...I probably wouldn't have the same salary, so that's something to think about. But I figure in another 3 years it'll all be fair game, hehe :)
